" For some reason, some of the Planar TVs are defaulting to a 1080i/50hz signal (press "Info" button on remote to confirm" which is making the game feel "laggy." Last time (early April), I went into the BIOS and turned off HDMI CEC. When the game loaded it was 1080p/60hz (correct res). I did a few power cycles and it seemed to keep those settings.
Went to Panos's house over the weekend, and Jeremy said the game felt laggy. Checked the "info" button and again it was 1080i/50hz. This time, I just booted into BIOS (Info button says 1080p/60 at BIOS screen), exited BIOS without changing anything, and the game loaded OK at 1080p/60hz.
I have no idea how TV's "decide" what resolution to display, but something's happening here that is giving us this weird setting. "
