You will need:
Power drill with Phillips head (battery OK)
Box cutter or strong scissors
Suggested 3-person job to remove from pallets.
1. Uncrate and unstrap:
Each Killer Queen machine will be packaged individually in crates (two total). You will need a power drill to uncrate these (battery should be OK). Blue and gold machines will be shrink wrapped and strapped to the pallet. Cut the plastic straps. Unlock the wheeled casters at the bottom of the cabinet. (4 casters have locks on the corners. 5th caster has no lock under the queen position).
2. Wheel off pallets:
Wheel the machines off the narrow end of the pallet, one side at a time. One person should guide the end as it comes off the pallet so it doesn't hit the ground with full weight. Second person should push the machines from the back end as first person guides. Third person should watch/spot the wide/tall side to ensure the machines do not tip and are guided properly. Once the first wheel is on the ground, the cabinet will tend to lean backward and third person may want to hold it upright. Continue wheeling off and as the last half comes off, the first person who was pushing will want to lift and guid the last section off of the pallet.
3. Moving the cabinets
Cabinets can be easily wheeled to final placement when the wheeled casters are unlocked. If the machines are too wide to move through a doorway, you can reduce the width by lifting the control panel. See attached photo for latch locations and lifted control panel.
To access the two (2) control panel latches, open the coin door panel.
Keys should be taped in the Blue Cabinet coin return slot. There are two sets of keys, one set for front panels, one set for back panels.
Latches are located just beneath the "Abs" and "Skulls" player positions (see photo). These are players 2 and 4 next to the middle queen player. Once unlatched, stand in front of the middle player position (Queen), and pull the control panel toward you, then lift.
4. Connect inter-cabinetry electronics:
In a side-to-side arrangement, Blue Cabinet should always be on the left side.
Open the lower back panel on both cabinets. Each cabinet has a wire harness with many labeled molex connectors. For each cabinet, snake the cables through the small hole located at the bottom corner of each cabinet. Connect all molex connectors labeled A-D. Please check that wire colors match when connected.
5. Connect Power and HDMI
Gold machine should have a power cable and an HDMI cable that will need to be snaked through the same hole from step 4, and connected to the power strip and HDMI splitter in the Blue Cabinet, respectively.
Open the blue coin drawer to locate the main power cable. Connect to the back of Blue Cabinet and plug in. Flip the switch next to the Blue power cable to turn on.
WARNING: Volume is VERY loud on first boot. To adjust volume, use the volume buttons behind the blue coin door.
6. Adjust settings.
Behind the Blue Cabinet coin door, press the "Service" switch. See the Menu options in the manual to adjust settings such as price, free play, happy hour, bonus map frequency.
